It would be too difficult to finance a US buyer or solve a problem if arise with the payments if boat is 2000 miles away. I already have an offer for financed deal from a great local couple but I want to wait a bit to see if I will get a cash deal before proceeding with financing as it has some disadvantages. Hi Jon,

The process was remarkably simple. I was met at the dock by US Customs and the paperwork was completed onboard in about 5 minutes.
